About Tonight

Philly Night for About Tonight 5

  • It'll be a jam band evening at the Susquehanna Bank Center (1 Harbor Blvd., Camden) as The Allman Brothers Band (MySpace) and Widespread Panic (MySpace) take the stage. Tickets are $31.50-$77, and the show starts at 7.
  • Philly improv troupe The N Crowd takes aim at everyone's favorite train wreck, Bravo's The Real Housewives..., with The Real Housewives of Philadelphia. Six of Philadelphia's most elite women will take the stage to give you a glimpse of their glamorous lives. Comedy and melodrama are sure to ensue. There will be commercial breaks, but that doesn't mean it's time to run to the bathroom, because the "commercials" will be brought to you by friends-of-Phillyist Meg and Rob and Secret Pants. It happens tonight at 10 at the Actors Center (257 N. 3rd St.). Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. (Hat tips to PW and City Paper.)
  • It's tribute night at the North Star (2639 Poplar St.), as Radiohead tribute band Meeting in the Aisle (MySpace) and Morrissey/Smiths tribute act The Sons & Heirs (MySpace) will be performing. It's a 21+ show that starts at 9, and tickets are $10.
  • Up-and-coming singer-songwriter Jer Coons (MySpace) will be opening for former Men at Work frontman Colin Hay at World Café Live (3025 Walnut St.). Don't be surprised if Coons steals the show from the headliner. There are still standing room tickets left for $35, and the show starts at 8.
