- Pennsylvania lawmakers and Philadelphia officials say that the state Department of Education acted illegally in shutting down the city's Safe School Advocate's office.
- The jury deciding the murder case in the death of Sean Patrick Conroy heard yesterday about the disturbing chain of events that led five teenagers to attack him, unprovoked, on the Market-Frankford SEPTA concourse near Market East last year. Today, the jury toured the concourse area where Conroy was attacked and died.
- Outgoing Camden chief operating officer Theodore Z. Davis is optimistic about the city's future. The reason for Davis's resignation yesterday is still unknown.
- A female jogger was sexually assaulted near Suburban Square in Ardmore last night. The assailant is described as a pudgy white man in his early 20s, 5'10" with curly, dark blond hair. Anyone with information about the attack should call the Lower Merion police at 610-649-1000.
