- As we first mentioned this morning, Vice President Biden was on hand today to announce that Philadelphia will get over $10 million in federal funds for temporary police hiring. The amount represents about 50 police officers. Camden will get zilch.
- Police in Montgomery County are looking for a "person of interest" in connection with a rape that occurred yesterday. The man allegedly followed the 19-year-old victim from a local Wal-Mart to her home, where the assault occurred.
- A fifth suspect in the murders of Rian Thal and Timothy Gilmore, Langdon Scott, has been arrested. Police are still seeking "about five or six others" in connection with the shooting, including one of the suspected triggermen, Donnell Murchison.
- A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a gunman who shot and wounded a carpenter working at a North Philadelphia housing project over the weekend.
