- The popular Philadelphia police Web site domelights.com is being sued for its allegedly racist nature. An organization of black Philadelphia cops filed a federal lawsuit yesterday seeking to put and end to the site and punish its users.
- Pennsylvania state schools have announced another hike in tuition. If you're a Temple student this means that undergraduate tuition increases from $10,858 to $11,174 for in-state students and from $19,878 to $20,454 for out-of-state students.
- Pennsylvania's budget crisis will really start picking up on state workers' next payday. Today is the last day that tens of thousands of state employees will receive their last paycheck before they will show up to work without compensation.
- Katherine Gajewski is expected to be named the city's sustainability director today by Mayor Nutter. Gajewski is currently the assistant to Chief of Staff Clay Armbrister.
- The Phillies cruised to a 4-0 win over the Florida Marlins last night in Miami. Jamie Moyer and the Phillies' bullpen combined to toss a one-hitter while Ryan Howard and Raul Ibanez added homeruns for the victors.
