- Saturday night on South Street proved to be bad news for 19 partiers and, unfortunately, for five police officers who were hurt. Police increased their presence on South Street in anticipation of the annual Greek Picnic of African-American Fraternities. The trouble was not a result of the picnic.
- The Valley Club has invited Creative Steps back to its pool after previously nixing their invitation. Amid a storm of controversy, John G. Duesler, Jr., has extended the invitation to the city camp of Northeast Philadelphia because "it's the right thing to do."
- If you're going to be traveling on the Schuylkill Expressway be aware that there is roadwork scheduled for this week. PennDot will be conducting roadwork during the evening hours.
- West Goshen in Chester County was named as on of Money Magazine's "Best Places to live." The town of 8,800 came in at number 11 on the list.
