
- Rian Thal and Timothy Gilmore were shot and killed at the Piazza at Schmidts complex. The two were seemingly targeted for the large amounts of drugs and cash held within Thal's apartment.
- Timothy Rub will be named the director of the Philadelphia Museum of Art today. Rub is currently the chief executive officer of the Cleveland Museum of Art.
- Donna Kay Busch filed a lawsuit in 2005 against the Marple Newtown School District and its officials. During a Kindergarten class, Busch wanted to read aloud from a Bible, but the principal would not permit the reading. The reading was part of "All About Me" week, where children chose their favorite books and their parents read from that book.
- Philadelphia Police Officers Richard Hayes and George Higginson were taking care of an intoxicated driver early yesterday in Bridesburg. At that time, another intoxicated driver smashed into the traffic stop injuring both officers. One officer remains in critical condition.
- The Phillies won yesterday in Toronto 5-4. Brad Lidge sealed the deal on his first game since June 1st. Jamie Moyer got the win after throwing throwing five solid innings.
