- Both the movie and the video game of X-Men Origins: Wolverine get released today, which means it's pretty much Wolverine Day on the internet. io9 is offering Wolverine 101 (via), while Sci Fi Wire has 10 things you need to know about Wolverine before you see the movie. Cinematical and Sci Fi Wire both have reviews of the movie. Cinematical also has the worst Wolverine costumes ever, while Super Punch offers a gallery/list of bizarre Wolverines. Finally, the Wolverine demo is now available on Xbox 360.

- Cinematical has a dummies' guide to the 2009 summer movie season, as well as a list of the most anticipated summer movies.
- The officially released version of the trailer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. We didn't like the first movie, and we still have little hope for this one, but... we have to admit, this is a great trailer. The action and effects are impressive; John Turturro's character is back, but he doesn't seem nearly as irritating this time; and Megan Fox is still incredibly hot.
- A movie about Hansel and Gretel is coming, but in this version the characters will be witch bounty hunters. That's actually... kind of awesome.

I'm teaching Dracula now to freshman, and I think they're over my vampire nerdness, but I'm going to wax enthusiastic at them about this Demeter movie anyway.
