Proofreading Philly

Proofreading Philly tries to capture typos, wordos, and all other kinds of grammatical mistakes that we see around the city. But we need your help! Email photos to us from your computer or your phone, and show the city that you care about good grammar.

Irony, boys and girls...

Joshua from Thrillist Philadelphia (have you signed up yet?) sent us the link to this story on NBCPhiladelphia.com. He writes:

NBC Philadelphia posted an article about the misspelling of “Nationals” on the Washington, D.C., baseball jerseys and, in doing so, misspelled the offending company’s name. IN THE HEADLINE. A HEADLINE ABOUT SPELLCHECKING.

Was it intentional and meant as a joke? Perhaps, but poorly executed. Either way, FAIL.

What he said.
