Bob Mould has never shied away from raw emotion in his songs. From his Hüsker Dü days, through his group Sugar and his solo work, he's tackled tough topics like suicide, love gone wrong, and one very bad car crash.

But it's not all a bitter pill. He sweetens the deal with deft guitar playing, fiery vocals, and just a tinge of humor, and forces us to take an unflinching look at our human condition. Which isn't such a bad thing in these somewhat strange times.
