Asshole of the Week

This week's award-winning terrible people hatched up a plan in Uniontown for babymaking far worse than what anyone could complain about Octomom. The couple, Shana Brown and Duane Calloway, were unable to have children on their own. Instead of considering one of the normal and upstanding options—adoption, fostering—they thought they could use Shana's thirteen year old daughter (apparently from back in the days when Brown could have children) as a baby incubator. First, they asked for her permission, saying she could marry Duane once she became pregnant (what a fabulous reward!), but after she turned them down, they decided to move forward with the plan anyway.

First, Duane just made sexual advances, but when that didn't work (she kicked him), the couple spiked the girl's soda with rum. And when that didn't work either, they drugged her with crushed Tylenol PM in her "I hope you feel better soon" tea after a hard day at school. Evidence includes text messages from Duane to Shana reading "u need 2 give her more pills" and "i wount this done and over with dont u so lets get this rite." Everything here is terribly wrong: a woman drugging her daughter, a woman drugging her daughter so her boyfriend can rape her, a woman drugging her daughter so her boyfriend can rape and impregnate her, and all this happening with awful text speak as the evidence of just how terribly wrong these two are.

They earn Asshole of the Week, with Distinction.
