Asshole of the Week

There are really few circumstances in which violent crime is justified. I mean, if you are Samuel L. Jackson and trying to avenge the assault against your young daughter, and know the racist jury will acquit the accused and clearly guilty man so you decide to take justice into your own hands... then, you get the A Time to Kill exception. Otherwise, you're probably just an asshole.

This is most definitely the case with Christopher Russell, a 33 year-old resident of the Northeast wanted for attacking and robbing at least seven elderly women. Of course, robbery is generally bad. Robbing and punching college students is bad, too. But this kind of crime takes a special kind of awfulness. We all have grandmas; most of us would be justifiably upset if someone ever hurt them. Russell has somehow failed to acquire even the most basic kind of morality, and has robbed and physically harmed his victims, sometimes even inside their own homes—as told to Fox News by an 82 year-old victim, who wished to remain anonymous. She says, "He pummeled away, and I fought back to save myself, I really did." We hope she caught him a good one.

Lt. Frank Vanore, a police spokesman, says, "He picks his victims, follows them all the way until they get to their residence, ensures they are alone... and then he jumps them. He's been a coward and has attacked these elderly women, punched them, assaulted them, thrown them to the ground and then left them." This Big Bad Wolf Wannabe will eventually go down for his mean and pathetic crimes, and we hope it hurts when he does.
