Free Rita's Day

Yes, friends, it's that time again. The birds are chirping, the flowers are sprouting, the Phils are training, and the Rita's are free-water-icing!

Tomorrow is the first day of Spring and while that means joy to the end of winter, slush, and your street not getting plowed, it also means joy to the fact that there could be a Rita's in your hand. And in a tradition that started right here in Philly, the Rita's water ice will be free, from noon to 10 pm tomorrow.

While this Phillyist will be walking around with a Cherry-red tongue all day, Rita's will be rolling out their new "light" line (fat free!) in addition to one MYSTERY water ice flavor that will be named by one lucky, creative Rita-lover. If this flavor even remotely resembles Honey, you had all better vote for the "Miss Bee's Most Awesomest! Flavor! Ever!" submission.
