Billy Joel and Elton John "Face 2 Face" With Philly in July

Billy Joel and Elton John Coming Valentine's Day came and went. Roses were bought and hearts were filled and, probably, some were broken. Cupid choked a little on the rough city air and kept right on flying, gone for another year. Trash cans filled with empty cardboard hearts, once full of chocolate, now bereft of their rich and sumptuous treats.

Okay, maybe we got a little carried away there. But something else happened on Valentine's Day. Something we must have missed in the papers and on the news. Perhaps we weren't vigilant enough. Perhaps we were too focused on the audacity of stimulus we can believe in. Whatever the reason, we missed it.

We missed the moment that these tickets went on sale. Billy Joel and Elton John will be at Citizens Bank Park on July 30, 2009. The park holds over 43,000 people, but that doesn't make it any less surprising that these tickets haven't f#%&kng sold out yet! Go get yours today. Prices range from $51 to $177, spanning the continuum from "Pass the binoculars!" to "Yes! He spit on me!"

They haven't graced Philly with their simultaneous presence in seven years, and, as NBC reminds us, they played six concerts, "the most ever in any venue worldwide."
