According to Consumerist, an employee at a local Radio Shack is demanding your name and address if you try to redeem one of the FCC's Digital Television Transition coupons. The coupons, worth $40, are redeemable toward the purchase of a converter box that will enable your analog television to display programming from digital broadcasts.
Consumerist have their own dedicated DTV page and they confirm that there is no "government rule" requiring the disclosure of such information.
Radio Shack's DTV Status: FAIL.
