- So what's the big news from Macworld? iTunes is going DRM-free, baby! Apple has also given in and agreed to variable pricing. Shiny Shiny has the details on some of the other less exciting (to us, anyway) announcements. Game|Life focuses on the gaming to be had at the expo, while Gadget Lab just calls the whole thing a big snooze fest.
- Macworld isn't the only tech expo going on at the moment; there's also CES 2009! Instead of linking to all of Shiny Shiny's many, many posts on the subject, we'll just point you towards their handy roundup post. Also keep in mind that CES is the setting of a huge showdown: Capcom is pitting Microsoft against Sony in a battle for Street Fighter IV supremacy.

- Joss Whedon says to expect more of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog! Hooray! He also said he sat down with Tom Cruise to talk about his upcoming horror movie. Weird. Luckily, he was just talking to Cruise in his capacity as head of United Artists, not as a prospective cast member or something.
- Sci Fi Wire interviews Thomas Dekker, who plays John Connor on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and he drops some tantalizing details about the upcoming episodes of the show.
