Philadelphia Weirdness

Bucks County UFOs martians.jpg

The Pennsylvania Mutual UFO Network Branch Director, John Ventre, recently stated: "Over the Summer of 2008, we had 138 UFO sightings from Pittsburgh to Philly...the Philly-Bucks County area had 77 of the 138."

Statements such as that suggest then that Philly has become a bit of a hot-spot regarding weird aerial phenomena—while not necessarily Martian-driven craft, whatever loitered, whizzed and buzzed in the skies was unidentified, and had researchers baffled. Despite skepticism, MUFON will be holding their Alien Hunter Conference at the Bucks County Community College on January 24th, where all manner of extraterrestrial themes will be discussed.

Sesame Place Amusement Park in Langhorne was the center for a cluster of sightings in 2008 and a strange boomerang-shaped object was seen over Oxford Valley Mall. While some sightings have been explained by ice crystals, clouds, or aircraft, the sightings which continue to pour in to the UFO researchers and also the media cannot be totally dismissed and neither can the fact that Philly has been "visited" by such objects for many decades.

We may never get close enough to solving the riddle of the skies, or what lurks beyond the stars, but as long as there are people like John Ventre logging the reports, there will always be people out there seeing such things. Alien or not, some "thing" IS out there...
