A New Year, a New Us

Perhaps you've noticed something a little different about us today. We're looking a little fitter, a little hipper, a little more ready to face 2009—perhaps even a little more 2.0. That's because a new layout has been introduced to all of the Gothamist sites (including Torontoist, which we're happy to report will continue on into 2009!), and we think it looks swell. A few things are different (to see tags, for example, you need to click on the little icon that looks like a tag; recommends are processed if you click the star and comments can be made by clicking the dialogue bubble), but most things are the same. While we transition over to our new format, which is powered by an all new version of Movable Type, we just ask for your patience: things may not work as they're supposed to at first, but give it time and we should be right as rain. If you notice anything especially strange, though, please let Jill and Angela know and they'll see if they can figure it out. Thanks for reading, and happy '09!
