Check Out Absolute POP! For Fun And Funky Holiday Gift Ideas

absolute_abstract_art2__resized.jpgJust home from a two week long trip and lamenting the fact that I still have a bunch of Christmas gifts to purchase, I stumbled past Absolute POP! the other night and was instantly drawn to the fun and sassy vintage-inspired tin signs hanging on the side walls. Within about ten minutes of entering the store, I had picked out three gifts for three very different people in my life and I also had an armful of items to hang on my own bare walls. And the best part is, the prices are cheap, cheap, cheap. All of the tin signs are only $15 each and come in many different styles. Also fantastic are their "Art Blocks" (giclee prints on paper, placed in 2"-deep frames that are crafted from sustainable hardwood grown in North American forests) starting at only $39 each and going up from there depending on the size of the piece. absolute_abstract_art1_resized.jpg

And once you've loaded up on the fun, inexpensive pieces that Absolute POP! has to offer, step through the interior door to the owners' original store, Absolute Abstract, where you can find larger sized gilcee prints ranging in many styles, including some fabulous shots taken of Philadelphia landmarks by photographer Erin Clark for their Absolute Philadelphia collection.

Also, see Phillyist's previously conducted interview with one of the owners—an interview I was completely unaware of at the time I was frolicking in the store, making friends with the owner and buying cool stuff.
