I don't understand -- is this a Zipcar/Starbucks promotion?
That's what is kind of unclear. I think that it is a promotion for both of those companies. However, the card I received with my gift card said "Happy Holidays from Starbucks! Every time you enjoy a (STARBUCKS) RED EXCLUSIVE beverage, we'll give 5 cents to The Global Fund, to help save lives in Africa. Enjoy a (STARBUCKS) RED EXCLUSIVE beverage with this gift card and help us end AIDS in Africa. Learn more at Starbucks.com/RED."
So it's like a tri-promotion for Starbucks, Zipcar and to end AIDS.
Sounds like Starbucks is just using Zipcar in Philly, but I'm not sure if they're promoting them outright. I know the Starbucks RED thing is international, though. Who knows?

Passed a driver whilst motoring on the Walnut Street bridge who almost killed several other drivers trying to let the guy know that he had left his coffee on the roof. I hope they have Collision and Advertising Insurance policies on that little Zipcar.
