The best of the internet, chopped into tiny bits and grilled for your enjoyment.

- Thanksgiving 2008 is already a fast-fading memory, but we can't resist linking to Cinematical's last "Movies We're Thankful for" Thanksgiving post, because it highlights a great film that we truly love: The Thin Man. Oh, and Download Squad had a similar thing going on; check out this list of apps they're thankful for. And finally, Underwire's 20 Worst Film and TV Turkeys of the Year (we liked Cloverfield, but otherwise it's a pretty good list).
- And now that Thanksgiving's over, it's time for those end of year lists! Wired has the Top 10 Products That Helped Us Forget 2008, Geeky Toys That Will Make You a Christmas Hero, the Top 5 Multi-Platform Games, and Wish List 2008 (which is just a series of gift guides). Speaking of gift guides, here's Shiny Shiny's list of cheap Secret Santa solutions, and Joystiq's summary of Amazon's Cyber Monday deals.
- If you didn't find the perfect gift for that movie geek on your list in any of those gift guides, consider this Alien cookie jar.
- The first photo of Taylor Kitsch as Gambit in Wolverine. Speaking of which, the trailer for Wolverine will be attached to The Day the Earth Stood Still.
- Rumors of a Buffy the Vampire Slayer film are circulating again. We'll remain skeptical, but hopeful.
- Mike Mignola tells the best "why did the chicken cross the road" joke of all time. (Link via Super Punch, where you can, and should, watch the pilot episode for an Amazing Screw-On Head animated series that sadly never got made.)
- Turn a Wii Remote into a theremin! Yes, it's a geeky video game peripheral transformed into the geekiest musical instrument ever! Brilliant!
- Apparently somebody at the Pentagon saw Wanted. They just poured $22 Million into guided-bullet technology.
- Wired presents Artifacts from the Future: Wall Street, 2013.
- Here's an odd mash-up: Godzilla and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
- We're a little tired of dysfunctional families in movies, so we're glad to see Cinematical celebrating non-dysfunctional movie families in its latest list.
- Notify Me When It's Up sounds kind of handy if you're a fan of websites that often go down. Give it a site URL and an email address and it will send an email to that address when the site comes back up.
- These are amazing: Lunch Bag Art. Just a Dad who decorates his kids' lunch bags every day. (Via)
- We already know Neil Gaiman is the coolest, but in case you need reasons why, Sci Fi Wire has eight.
- Rumor has it Disney's proposed third Chronicles of Narnia movie, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, may be delayed or scaled back as a result of Prince Caspian's disappointing box-office performance.
- An auction of more than 500 costumes, props, set pieces and other items from various movies and TV shows will be going down on December 11th. Items up for sale include Arnold Schwarzenegger's T-800 costume from Terminator 2, Damien's tricycle from The Omen, a set of all seven Harry Potter books inscribed and signed by author J.K. Rowling, Luke Skywalker's lightsaber, Indiana Jones' whip, and the United Planets Cruiser C-57D from Forbidden Planet. The full list is over here.
- Here's a horrifying rumor: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes might star together in a remake of Last Tango in Paris. Gack!
- Supposedly Patrick Swayze's cancer has spread and he doesn't have long to live. We hope this turns out to not be true.
- The Screen Actors Guild might strike as early as January.
- New pics from Underworld 3. (Via)
- The trailer for Duplicity. Looks pretty good! It's a corporate espionage thriller with a great cast.
- Dolph Lundgren has joined the already beefy cast of The Expendables.
- The Telegraph says good-bye to Bush with a gallery of some of the more embarrassing photos of the man. (Via)
- The oldest lolcat ever!
- Wii Fanboy presents a side-by-side comparison of the original and Wii versions of Donkey Kong Jungle Beat.
- Here's a mod that can trick the Wii into thinking your GameCube controller is a Classic Controller. And here's a NES with a Punisher-themed case mod.
- Capcom makes it sound unlikely that we will see new Bionic Commando and Street Fighter games on the Wii. Sigh.
- Super Punch had some nice Thanksgiving-themed link roundups, and it's continuing the tradition for Christmas.
- Some awesome concert posters.
- Boba Fett concept art.
- Some new screenshots from Star Trek Online.
