- In honor of the holiday, Cinematical picks seven Terrific Turkeys of the Aughts, which in this case refers to bad movies, not birds. Cinematical is also continuing its holiday-appropriate series, "Movies We're Thankful for," with paeans to Anchorman and Dirty Harry.
- Cinematical has links to a couple of really cool items: a new trailer for Star Trek (which is actually the same as the first one, but with a new surprise ending), and a Flash poster for Terminator: Salvation.
- Download Squad picks six movies you could buy for the geek on your holiday shopping list.
- The National Institute on Media and the Family has released its 13th-annual "report card" on video gaming, which includes a list of games "you should make sure kids avoid." - December 5-7 is Harry Potter weekend! At that time, ABC Family will air the first four films, including the world television premiere of the special extended edition of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which features deleted scenes not included in the original theatrical version. Throughout the weekend, ABC Family will also air exclusive first looks at the new film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
- The fourth and final straight-to-DVD Futurama movie, Into The Wild Green Yonder, is coming to DVD and Blu-ray on Feb. 24, 2009. Click here for a trailer.

- Former Fox executive Jeff Katz says Wolverine is totally bad-ass in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and also mentions, in terms of the future of the character in movies, that Hugh Jackman would like to go to Japan—and fanboys know what that means!
- Sony has picked up the rights for a film called Chef, which will be directed by David Fincher and star Keanu Reeves. Apparently there is no more information available about the movie at this juncture, but the three things we do know (the title and the two major creative participants) have no business being together as far as we're concerned, so we're very curious to hear more.
- The new version of Google's Chrome browser has a bookmark manager, amongst other updates.
- Who doesn't love a good conspiracy theory involving the Knights Templar? NBC has an original movie event centering on just such a thing coming up January 25th and 26th. It's called The Last Templar.
- The final trailer for Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.
- Apparently the I Am Legend follow-up has been changed from a prequel to a sequel. Although where you go after the end of the first movie is not entirely clear. Especially if (spoiler alert) you want to include Will Smith again somehow.

- Director Bryan Singer plans to make an online sci-fi series about people who have hardwired their brains to the Internet. It's supposed to roll out late next year.
- Super Punch is still collecting photos and info on all those Coraline boxes sent out to bloggers. He's up to eight now!

- Many of the Columbia Pictures films that were unavailable for streaming via NXE's Netflix client are now back.
- So how is Sonic Unleashed, anyway? A metareview suggests it's pretty meh.
- Turns out gaming addiction isn't really such a big problem after all; 90% of those diagnosed are actually just compulsive gamers who have a social problem, not a psychological problem.
