Breaking: A Phillyist Favorite, A Fond Farewell

You might have noticed that Paper Rival (MySpace) is one of our favorite bands here at Phillyist. So it's with more than a bit of disappointment that we report that we've learned (by way of MySpace bulletin) that frontman Jake Rolleston is leaving the band. We can't be too mad at him though, as he's departing the band in order to return to school. With that, Paper Rival (at least as we've known it) is no more. We'll be keeping tabs on the other guys, and will hopefully be able to bring you coverage of their future projects. If you haven't yet, we strongly encourage you to pick up the band's two releases, their self-titled EP and Dialog, which is easily one of the best albums we've heard this year. And of course, we wish the best of luck to Jake Rolleston.
