- Guillermo del Toro will act as executive producer on a stop-motion version of Pinocchio that he's developing with the Jim Henson Company. Meanwhile, Underwire got him to talk about some of his more high profile projects.
- New Regency is planning on adapting Isaac Asimov's The End of Eternity for the big screen. The time travel novel is set in a future where humanity is controlled by a ruling class called Eternity—a lucky group who can alter history and remove undesirable people . But then one of them falls for a girl in the past.
- Luc Besson says The Fifth Element was meant to be the first in a trilogy, and he also has vague plans for another sci-fi trilogy.
- More exciting casting news for Julie Taymor's Tempest: Chris Cooper will play the usurper Antonio.

- There's finally an official release date for the console iterations of Street Fighter IV: February 17, 2009.
- Basic Instructions is always good, but we particularly enjoyed the latest entry, which teaches us how to suppress the urge to kill. We think the cameo from the Emperor is what really puts it over the top.
