
- On Monday night in Upper Darby a man was murdered and his wife was brutally sexually assaulted in what started out as a robbery. The intruder is described as a 6-foot-tall, muscular man in his late 20s or early 30s whose face was obscured by a black hoodie.
- The much anticipated World War II memorial opened yesterday in Trenton. The memorial is located directly across from the Statehouse’s main entrance. Veterans from all over attended yesterday’s dedication.
- A Southwest Philadelphia teenager was charged with murder yesterday following the shooting of his 15-year-old cousin. The incident happened when a handgun discharged as the two teens played with the gun while sitting in a car near their homes.
- Two Rowan University students were assaulted and robbed by three men (two of whom were armed) ten minutes apart yesterday. University authorities report that the same three individuals may be responsible for both crimes. No arrests have been made in either case.
- The 76ers are having a rough go of things in the Elton Brand era. Last night at the Wachovia Center, the Sixers fell to the Utah Jazz 93-80. According to Andre Iguodala, “Everybody’s a little uncomfortable.”
