- HBO has given a green light to production on the pilot for a series based on George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones! Woo hoo!!! We are just a little excited about this. The books, which are some of the best fantasy novels since Lord of the Rings, were optioned by HBO a long time ago, but now it's looking like they're really going to make their way to the small screen. Awesome. Let the casting rumors begin!

Meanwhile, the Onion has opened up a challenging contest: make a YouTube video that's actually worth watching.
- Game|Life finally has an official review up for Mirror's Edge, and the verdict is a big thumbs up.

- Djimon Hounsou will play the Black Panther! Actually, he'll be voicing the character in an animated series coming to BET in 2009. The series will be based on "Who Is the Black Panther?" by Reginald Hudlin and John Romita Jr.
- A photo taken at the NEXT game and consumer tech expo in Belgium suggests that there will be at least 26 playable characters in the console version of Street Fighter IV, and that one of them will be Rose, an enemy of M. Bison who first appeared in Street Fighter Alpha.
- There's now an LOLapp for your iPhone.
- Word has it we'll see a significant update to the Wii's Internet Channel next month, which will include support for Wii Speak, tabbed browsing (in the form of a very weird tab cube), and newer, bigger, uglier navigation buttons. Um... woo hoo?
