- The Phillies are cleaning house and ridding themselves of any loose ends. Third base coach Steve Smith was relieved of his duties by new General Manager Ruben Amaro Jr.
- Troubled Sen. Vincent Fumo’s defense lawyer kicked back yesterday, accusing a key prosecution witness of shifting his story to damage Fumo’s overall case.
