- They really are going to remake Forbidden Planet. Sigh. Speaking of remakes, it looks like they're also going to remake Conquest of the Planet of the Apes. That's the prequel movie from the original Apes series. The remake will not be connected at all to Tim Burton's disastrous remake of the original Apes film, thank God.
- Two sequels to Road to Perdition are now in the works. We loved the first movie, so this is good news. We're less excited by the news that they'll be written and directed by Max Allan Collins, who wrote the original graphic novel. We actually like the movie better than the source material, and doubt Collins' filmmaking abilities. But who knows? Maybe he'll pull it off.
