Can't Miss This!: Halloween Edition

Halloween is a special time of year. It's even more special when it happens to coincide with the World Series parade.

THE PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES PRESENT: A CHAMPIONSHIP!
We wonder how many offices will look like the empty structures left behind in the wake of a zombie epidemic. We also wonder how angry the children are if they're not enrolled in one of the schools closed because of their proximity to the parade route. Here are the vital statistics on the greatest sports celebration in 28 years:
WHO: Phillies fans!
WHERE: The parade will start at 20th and Market Streets in Center City. The celebration will head east to City Hall, and then south on Broad Street to the sports complex area. The ceremony will be held in Citizens Bank Park, 10th Street and Pattison Avenue (map).
WHEN: 12:00PM
HOW MUCH: Free!

IMPROV COMEDY WITH THE N CROWD: HALLOWEEN SPECIAL
Their brand of engaging improvisational comedy is always a crowd pleaser. Tonight is their Halloween Special, so check out their web site for details.
WHO: Anyone!
WHERE: The Actors' Center, 257 N. 3rd Street (map)
WHEN: Doors open at 7:30pm, Show starts at 8pm
HOW MUCH: $10. Get 'em here. Note: If you buy them online, RSVP-style, they will only be held until 7:50pm, then they're fair game for buy-em-at-the-door types.

THE PHILADELHIA MUSEUM OF ART PRESENTS: ART AFTER 5
DJ Knobhead will be rocking 80s goth music for the dancing devil in you. Also, look out for ghost stories in the galleries, tarot card readings, spooky art tours, and a costume contest with prizes. That means you're likely to look and feel out of place if you don't don your costume for this artfully scary shindig. Check the web site here. WHEN: From 5pm to 8:45pm
HOW MUCH: Free with Museum admission - $14 adult, $12 senior (62+), $10 student with ID. You can pay admission at the door, but if you plan to try and get a spot at the museum restaurant, make a reservation by calling 215-684-7990.
