I love how Bud acted like they had a plain in place along and he never would have called the game before 9 innings anyway. AND, both teams knew about it.... so why did the Rays get really worried? They said after the game they were trying as hard as they could to get that tying run so it wouldn't be called with them down. They sent Upton on a steal and as soon as contact was made, even though there were puddles all over the place. Yes, I wouldn't want to be the winner of s shortened game, but then, the game never should have been started in the first place. I don't see why they were so worried abotu TV stuff. They had a travel/off day they could dump. Even if they are beholden to TV, they can still finish the series by Friday. What big programming at they screwing up on a Friday night? This is just like when the all star game goes long - it's not his fault, but he should have planned for every possibility and then he comes out looking like he had no effing idea.

Keep the Fire, Philly!

I really can't believe that happened last night.

Damn the Iron Heel. Let Baseball be Baseball. It sells itself to hundreds of fans.

And thank you for saying screw you to the Sox/Dodgers story-in-a-can series. This is far more interesting of a series. One team who is young and in a franchise that is 11 years old, another team that deserves this more than those youngsters and is a team of players that care about each other and not themselves.
