What's new and/or interesting on TV this week.

Modern Marvels (Mon, 8PM-9PM, History)
The marvel in question this time is projectile accuracy, which is explored in many of its forms, including LAPD sharp shooters, Army snipers, the Phoenix Mars Lander, and pool experts.
Scream Queens (Mon, 10PM-11PM, VH1)
Another reality competition show, this one following ten aspiring actresses competing for a role in Saw VI. In this first episode, the women size each other up, and then must beg for their lives in a challenge involving a chainsaw-wielding maniac.
Nova (Tue, 8PM-9PM, WHYY & WLVT)
Eels lead singer Mark Oliver Everett investigates the father he barely knew: quantum physicist Hugh Everett III, who postulated the existence of parallel universes in 1957. The theory was initially rejected, spurring Everett III to leave the field of quantum physics, but was eventually embraced by scientists and science fiction. Sounds like a really interesting way of talking about a really interesting theory.
Scream 2008 (Tue, 9PM-11PM, Spike)
The annual awards show saluting achievements in horror, sci-fi, and fantasy. We heard they might broadcast some Watchmen footage during the show, so you might want to tune in even if you don't care that much about the awards.
World Series: Game 1 (Wed, 8PM-11PM, Fox)
The Phillies vs. the Rays in the big championship series. It's can't-miss TV, people. The second, third, and fourth games are on at the same time and channel on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. (And during the boring bits of Game 3, you can switch over to the Penn State/Ohio State game on ABC.)
Prototype This! (Wed, 10PM-11PM, Discovery)
The team gets two weeks to make large robot boxers. In other words, full-size rock 'em sock 'em robots! Awesome!
Dinner: Impossible (Wed, 10PM-10:30PM, Food Network)
In honor of National Nurses Week, Michael Symon prepares a thank you dinner for 250 nurses at Philadelphia's own Jefferson Hospital.
Myths and Legends (Wed, 10PM-10:30PM, TV Land)
We rarely pay attention to shows on TV Land, but this one talks about Jack Nicholson's family tree, Star Wars characters in Raiders of the Lost Ark, Bob Crane's death, the rock group KISS, and comic books. Sounds interesting to us!
