- For the first time, the Stoker estate has authorized an official sequel to Dracula. It's called Dracula: The Undead and it's written by Dacre Stoker, Bram's great-grandnephew, and Dracula historian Ian Holt. The story uses characters and plot threads that were edited out of Stoker's original novel. It'll hit store shelves next October. Production on a film version begins in June 2009.

- Shiny Shiny has a couple of recent posts that seem related: one on a beer-filled USB drive, and another on Google's Mail Goggles, which is meant to keep you from sending email while drunk.
- Some M. Night Shyamalan updates: he's thinking about a sequel to Unbreakable, and he has some details about the Airbender movie.
- Anne Hathaway has signed on to play the White Queen in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. As we suspected, Helena Bonham Carter will play the Red Queen (although Sci Fi Wire seems to have her mixed up with the Queen of Hearts...).
- Bill Murray had some amusing things to say recently about providing the voice of a badger in director Wes Anderson's upcoming film adaptation of Roald Dahl's children's story The Fantastic Mr. Fox.

- The developers of MadWorld are trying various crazy things to stave off controversy about their game. We're betting they'll be largely unsuccessful.
- The Dark Knight trailer, redone using clips from Toy Story and Toy Story 2.
- Neil Gaiman is on a nine-city tour, reading a different chapter of his new children's book The Graveyard Book each night. Each reading will be filmed and the video put online, which means by the end you'll be able to listen to the whole book for free.
