THE KHYBER PRESENTS: DEATH IN THE PARK AND THE APPRECIATION POST
Death in the Park features former members of Hot Rod Circuit and The Appreciation Post supposedly draw their name from the fact that they're a band of bloggers, which we can, well, appreciate. By Surprise and Crosstown Rivalry are dropping the $4 it now costs to cross the bridge from Jersey and round off the early ticket at the Khyber. The best part is that this upstairs show is all-ages.
WHO: Anyone!

WHEN: 6pm. Seriously, and they end early too, so be sure to get there on time!

OPEN MIC NIGHT AT HELIUM COMEDY CLUB
They're going to line up 20 people, ranging in experience from none-at-all to veteran status, with sign-ups starting promptly at 6pm. This is your chance to rock that new material you've been working on and, even if you don't catch your big break tonight, we're pretty sure that Helium has some of the best mozzarella sticks in the city. And cheese can usually make everything all right. Admittance is free and the long list of mic-jockeys is enough to keep the laughs (or awkward silences) going all night long.
WHO: 21+, unless the young 'uns show up with Mommy or Daddy.
