- Netflix reached a deal to provide via its streaming web service about 2,500 titles from the Starz movie library. (Via Sarah)
- Cinematical presents the greatest pie fights in movies, and seven horror remakes that don't suck.
- Tiberium, EA's Command and Conquer FPS, has been canceled due to its inability to meet quality standards.
- eBay has launched a new tool called the Browser Highlighter that lets you compare prices for an item on eBay when shopping on other websites. (Via)
- Church leaders for the Evangelical Alliance have drawn up ten blogging commandments.
- RealNetworks launched a new piece of software called RealDVD, which lets you make backups of your DVDs for viewing on a PC. The company also asked a federal court to rule that RealDVD is legal, since it copies an entire DVD to a hard drive, but doesn't allow that copy to be ripped or posted to the internet. They'll have to hope that works out for them, as they've been sued over the software by six major Hollywood studios.
- What's with not being able to put html links in your GMail signature? That's lame. Thankfully, Download Squad found a way around the problem.
- Shiny Shiny picks the top twelve geekiest necklaces.
- The CW is readying a series based on Batman sidekick Robin's early days, called The Graysons. Unsurprisingly, the executive producers of Smallville are behind the series.
- Superman fans raised $100,000 (double the original goal) to save the dilapidated Cleveland house where the Man of Steel was invented over 70 years ago by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
- Brett Ratner will direct the film adaptation of God of War.
- Game|Life gives Warhammer Online a great big thumbs up.
- Two sets of downloadable content for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will be released by the end of the year, and they'll include classic Star Wars characters like Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, and a new mission set within the ruins of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.
- Ryu and Ken's master Gouken has been added to the cast of Street Fighter IV.
- A new AC/DC track pack for Rock Band, entitled AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack, as well as AC/DC's upcoming album Black Ice, will be available exclusively at Wal-Mart. AC/DC and Wal-Mart seem like kind of an odd pairing, but... okay!
- Chris's Invincible Super-Blog presents Twenty-Five Things Every Comics Collection Truly Needs To Be Awesome.
