Penn (0-0, 0-0) will open up their season this Saturday against Villanova at 3:30 p.m. (tickets).
Penn State put up their third straight yawner of a win this season, beating up on hapless Syracuse, 55-13. And it looks like things aren't going to change for the Lions before they get to their Big Ten season, as they close out their non-conference schedule at home against Temple on Saturday (tickets).
Another week, another rough loss for Temple (1-2, 0-1). This time, a last-second Hail Mary is what did the Owls in, as they lost to Buffalo, 30-28. Next week, Temple will be at Penn State, so we doubt they'll have to worry about suffering a late-game heartbreaker.
Villanova (1-1, 0-0) topped fellow locals Lehigh by a score of 33-14 in the Wildcats' home opener. This Saturday, 'nova will face off against Penn at Franklin Field.
