For the LEGO Lover in All of Us

lego.libertybell.phillyist.9.15.08.jpgLast month we told you about the new LEGO store coming to the KOP mall.

It turns out the store will officially open this Thursday, September 18, with a grand opening event planned for October 3–5. Here's what the store has planned:

Three-day Master Builder Event
Haven't you always wanted to build an 8-foot tall LEGO Yoda model? Now you can at the 3-day Master Builder Event. LEGO fans of all ages are invited to help a real LEGO Master Builder construct an 8-foot tall Yoda. Yes. A Master Builder is someone who actually gets paid to play with LEGOs. Sounds pretty sweet to us. There is an art to it though.

This event is free and everyone who participates will get a free LEGO Star Wars Certificate of Achievement, while supplies last, plus a LEGO store coupon. The event takes place in the JC Penney Court in The Plaza. Click here for times.

LEGO Shout Out to Philly
If you're from Philly and a fan of LEGOs, you gotta get to the KOP mall on Saturday, October 4. Because, if you're one of the first 300 customers to spend $35 in the new LEGO store, you'll receive an exclusive, limited-edition LEGO Liberty Bell set. The set was created especially for the opening of the KOP store, and it is not available for sale. It even features the famous crack.

Free T-shirt!
Be one of the first 300 customers to spend $35 in the LEGO Store and you'll recieve an exclusive, limited-edition LEGO Minifigure t-shirt. These shirts are available in child's sizes only, and were created exclusively to mark the grand opening of the KOP LEGO store.
