To shame on people. I guess they didn't take Mrs. Krabappel's class from The Simpsons.

"Me fail English, that's umpossible."

Speaking as a Canadian observer, I wonder why Americans tend not to use the past participle when it ought to be used.

"It must have fell out of his pocket" is a howler of an example. Why did the person not use "fallen"? I hear other examples--mostly from undereducated persons--and there should not be any reason for this except bad schooling.

Is there something about irregular verbs that is the pons assinorum for Americans? I hope not.
