PAWS Dog of the Week

Curious GeorgeThe PAWS shelter is still at critical mass. PAWS is especially in need of foster parents for the many kittens who are at the shelter. Every animal is at risk of being put down due to lack of space, so if you've been considering fostering or welcoming a pet into your home, now is the time!

Curious George (ID# A05975892)

Curious George is an unbelievably sweet young boy. He's under a year old, and as his name indicates, he's the curious type. George wants to check out, and make friends with, everyone around him—including people, other dogs, and cats. Because he's still a youngin', George could use some training so that he doesn't try to jump on everyone he meets, but with the right care, he'll become a well-behaved darling. Despite his excitement, he's very sweet and gentle, and would likely be fine even in a home with small children. George would be a great addition to any home—hopefully yours!

If you'd like to save Curious George, e-mail natalie@phillypaws.org. The adoption fee for a PAWS dog is $40, plus an $8 city license fee if you live in Philadelphia. The fee includes spaying/neutering, which will be performed before your new companion comes home with you, and microchipping. Also, make note of George's ID number above, and bring it with you when you go to the PAWS shelter, which is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave (map).
