A steaming hot pile of our favorite things from around the internets.

- Adam and Jamie of Mythbusters use paint guns to demonstrate the principle of parallel computing. Yay! (Via)
- Have you seen the new Microsoft commercial with Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld? It's pretty hilarious. And it's not even advertising anything specific; it's like they just wanted to make a funny short film with the surprisingly effective comedy duo of Gates and Seinfeld.
- James Rocchi at Cinematical got to see The Brothers Bloom already, damn him. And he gave it a good review! Yay!

- Michael Moore's latest documentary—Slacker Uprising, which follows Moore's 62-city tour during the 2004 presidential election, as he attempts to rally young "slacker" voters—will be released exclusively online beginning September 23. And you'll be able to watch it for free.
- Clive Barker is excited about his Hellraiser remake, and hates PG-13 horror movies, calling them "one of the most disgusting developments in the last few years. The whole notion of a PG-13 horror movie to me is a contradiction in terms. It's like having a XXX Disney picture. It doesn't work."
- Cinematical has itself an exclusive clip from Picasso & Braque Go to the Movies, which is a really interesting-sounding documentary examining the relationship between film and the visual arts. It's produced and narrated by Martin Scorsese, and features people like Chuck Close and Julian Schnabel. Speaking of exclusive clips from Cinematical, here's one from JCVD.
- Make your own Jar-Jar Binks salad! Although it seems to us if you saw that vacant face staring at you from the middle of a salad bowl, you might lose your appetite. (Btw, we find it amusing that the creator of this salad chose Jar-Jar to sculpt because he was afraid he wouldn't be able to destroy a representation of a character he actually liked.)
- Cinematical tells the story of how David Fincher stuck it to Paramount, and reveals that Guillermo Del Toro, Zack Snyder and Gore Verbinski will all direct segments of Fincher's new version of Heavy Metal.
- To avoid spoilers, all we'll say about this article is, we were totally sure that character was still alive at the end of The Dark Knight, and we're really pretty disappointed that he's officially dead and won't be back. But we second the idea of Angelina Jolie as Catwoman! Rowr.
- Samsung's UK electronics chief says he thinks Blu-ray has only five years left as a viable format. Ouch!
- A video of the Xbox 360 Rock Band export process.
- The official word from Take-Two is that Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will be released on Nintendo DS this winter.
- If you're still not tired of reading about The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets' experience at PAX, you can check out a description of the gig itself, and day one of the band's PAX diary.
