PAWS Dog of the Week
The PAWS shelter is still at critical mass. PAWS is especially in need of foster parents for the many kittens who are at the shelter. Every animal is at risk of being put down due to lack of space, so if you've been considering fostering or welcoming a pet into your home, now is the time!
JS (ID# A05813474)
JS is a big ol' Pitty mix, but he's about the most mellow, laid-back dog you could find. He's gentle and seems to love everyone. JS's disposition makes him a good fit for a home where he can just be a good, calm companion dog, as he's an adult who's outgrown those high-maintenance, high-energy puppy years. He doesn't really get along with other dogs, but he'll make a great addition to a home that's looking for a dog who will thrive as an only pet. If this sounds like your situation, then JS may just be the right dog for you.
If you'd like to save JS, e-mail natalie@phillypaws.org. The adoption fee for a PAWS dog is $40, plus an $8 city license fee if you live in Philadelphia. The fee includes spaying/neutering, which will be performed before your new companion comes home with you, and microchipping. Also, make note of JS's ID number above, and bring it with you when you go to the PAWS shelter, which is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave (map).
