PAWS Cat of the Week

picresized_Ellie.jpgThe PAWS shelter is still at critical mass. PAWS is especially in need of foster parents for the many kittens who are at the shelter. Every animal is at risk of being put down due to lack of space, so if you've been considering fostering or welcoming a pet into your home, now is the time!

Ellie (ID# A04403004)

Ellie is an adult girl who's been soaking up a lot of sun, and a lot of attention, at the PAWS Adoption Center in Old City. She's 4 to 6 years old, and loves human affection. Her favorite thing to do is sit in the window watching all the action on Arch Street. She gets along with other cats; as with all "new cat" situations, if you have a cat currently, expect there to be a period of adjustment, but things should go smoothly soon. Ellie's been with PAWS since April, and it's high time she got herself a new windowsill for her sunbathing—in a forever home with lots of love.

If you'd like to save Ellie, e-mail alamond@phillypaws.org. The adoption fee for a PAWS cat is $40. The fee includes spaying/neutering, which will be performed before your new companion comes home with you, and microchipping. Also, make note of Ellie's ID number above, and bring it with you when you go to the PAWS adoption center, which is located at 100 N. 2nd Street (the corner of 2nd and Arch).
