Why LEGOs are Cool

LEGO man

  1. Nostalgia. Nothing is better than trying to snap those brightly colored pieces into place.
  2. They're as old as we are and still cool. In fact, the LEGO Minifigure turned 30 this week.
  3. LEGOs change lives! Kinda.
  4. They've gotten more sophisticated with age. What started as some plastic pieces has evolved into movies, video games, and more. They even offer the Rockoh T3! That's a long way from the plain 'ol large bricks.
  5. LEGOs in the Olympics.
  6. LEGOs rebuild cities.
  7. Google loves LEGOs. Google paid tribute to the company's 50th anniversary by writing its name on the Google homepage in LEGO bricks.
  8. LEGOs aren't just toys, they're art. Check out what this Philadelphia Museum is doing.
  9. LEGOs can make you a star.
  10. They've got a brand new store coming to King of Prussia.

The new LEGO store in King of Prussia is planned to open in September with a grand-opening event in October. We'll give you details about the specific date and time as soon as we know.

The weekend-long event will feature exclusive LEGO sets, limited-edition LEGO t-shirts, and collectibles. Attendees will also get to participate in a LEGO Master Builder Event, receive a commemorative certification, and enjoy great discounts. These are available grand-opening weekend only.

Besides the grand-opening, the LEGO store always has something cool to offer. There's a Pick a Brick Wall where you can fill up on all the bricks you need, in the size and color you want. Plus, each month, you can participate in free, hands-on building events, or host a child's birthday party. It doesn't get much better than that, folks.
