PAWS Dog of the Week

Bailey.jpgThe PAWS shelter is still at critical mass. PAWS is especially in need of foster parents for the many kittens who are at the shelter. Every animal is at risk of being put down due to lack of space, so if you've been considering fostering or welcoming a pet into your home, now is the time!

Bailey (ID# A05656656)

Okay, seriously, we can hardly deal with the cuteness that is Bailey in this picture. As you can see, Bailey is a fantastic, loving 6-month-old pit bull mix (possibly with some greyhound). He came to the shelter as a stray, but you'd never know it. Bailey's caught a little bit of a cold at the shelter, but with a little bit of R&R and TLC in a good home, he'll be back to 100% in no time! He's beautiful, calm, and walks well on a leash. He's so easy to fall in love with, once you meet him, you'll just have to take him home.

If you'd like to save Bailey, e-mail natalie@phillypaws.org. The adoption fee for a PAWS dog is $40, plus an $8 city license fee if you live in Philadelphia. The fee includes spaying/neutering, which will be performed before your new companion comes home with you, and microchipping. Also, make note of Bailey's ID number above, and bring it with you when you go to the PAWS shelter, which is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave (map).

Hey Ross... I think we should take this one home, ourselves. Maybe make him the Phillyist mascot.

Don't tempt me.

OMG you two!!!! Really???? I'll be at PAWS tonight doing an after hours adoption and Reiki on the small animals...... I'm not saying....but, ummmm, I'm just saying, that I'll be there....ya know, if you, ummmm need to stop by for ummmm.....anything, ya know ;-)

Oh, K! If only it was that simple, we'd have a house full. Maybe I can convince Ross that Bailey needs to visit us for a few hours, though. :)

Yeah, if it wasn't for, ya know, reality, we'd probably have 2 dogs, 4 cats, and be fostering a dog and 2 litters of kittens.
