- Kristen Bell has signed to voice the female lead in the feature film adaptation of Astro Boy.
- Supposedly Cher is Christopher Nolan's first choice to play Catwoman. Um... wow.
- We posted yesterday about the rumor that Fox is considering scrapping Dragonball. But Fox says the information is false and the film is still scheduled for an April 2009 release.
- Some fun pics from Land of the Lost. Apparently not as new as they at first appeared, but new to us. (Via)
- According to IESB, Jodi Benson will be reprising her role as the voice of Barbie in Toy Story 3, and Michael Keaton will be playing Barbie's boyfriend Ken.
- Remember that story about some poor folks taking so long to defeat a boss in Final Fantasy XII that they were passing out from exhaustion and so forth? Square Enix is responding by including some alterations in the degree of difficulty of various boss fights in the version update scheduled for early September.

- Rumor has it that Gearbox Software is developing Halo 4 as a launch title for the next Xbox.
- Here's a fun Firefox extension: YouTube Comment Snob. You can set it to filter out which YouTube comments you see based on things like too many spelling mistakes (using Firefox's spellchecker), too much capitalization, no capitalization, swearing, profanity, or excessive punctuation. (Via)
- Kevin Rose of Digg is claiming to have uncovered Apple's secret plans yet again; this time he says he's got the dirt on the new version of the iPod Nano, amongst other things. (Via)
- The bunnies do 30 Days of Night. (Via)
- Out of concern for star Shia LaBeouf's safety, the hand injury he received on the set of Transformers 2, which stopped the film's production for some time, has been written into the movie.
- Woody Harrelson has signed on to star in the horror comedy Zombieland. He'll play one member of a mismatched pair of survivors who find friendship and redemption in a world overrun by zombies.
- Vin Diesel says there will be two sequels to The Chronicles of Riddick, and that writer-director David Twohy is writing the scripts right now. The only question is whether or not they will shoot both movies at the same time.
- Marvel has signed a deal to create a lineup of animated series for the Japanese market featuring the company's stable of comic book superheroes.
- We knew gold farming was a thing, but we never would have guessed it was a $500 million industry.
- Amazon announced that it will experiment with release-day delivery for four of this year's biggest games: Fable 2, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, and Gears of War 2. This means if you pre-order any of those games at Amazon, you'll receive your package on the day the game comes out.
- There's a Dungeons & Dragons Facebook app now.
- Scott Adams tells the story of the Worst. Hit man. Ever.
- Mike Nelson's Rifftrax is launching a new feature called iRiffs where users will be able to make their own RiffTrax and submit them to be sold on a revenue sharing basis.

- Video of a hack that allows you to control your Roomba via the Wii Balance Board. The most surprising thing about this is that the guys at Nintendo Wii Fanboy had never heard of the Roomba before. Where have they been?!
