- Supposedly Abbie Cornish will star with Jake Gyllenhaal in a film about a private expedition to the moon to create a Lunar colony. Which could be a bit awkward, as Cornish is Jake's current girlfriend Reese Witherspoon's ex-husband Ryan Phillippe's current girlfriend. We don't know about you, but this Phillyist's head is spinning.
- The release of Quantum of Solace has been pushed back from November 7th to the 14th in order to capitalize on last week's sudden Harry Potter shift.
- Prepare yourselves now for sequels to Mean Girls, Road Trip, The Naked Gun, Bad News Bears, and Grease. First out of the gate will be Without a Paddle: Nature's Calling, which is a sequel to a movie we don't even remember.
- Twitch has some photos from the set of Richard Linklater's Me and Orson Welles—and yes, they do include shots of Zac Efron in costume. (Via)

- Cammy will appear in the home versions of Street Fighter IV.
- The news from Leipzig today: the new Prince of Persia can run along walls; the PC version of GTA IV will feature more realistic lighting and animation, "a much higher level of detail on both characters and environments," and a replay editor; and hey, here's a trailer for the Wii FPS Conduit!
- Joystiq got its hands on Portal: Still Alive, and managed to remain alive to tell the tale.
- A video comparing Bionic Commando Rearmed to Bionic Commando. Damn, Rearmed looks so cool.
- Rock the Vote will apparently be canvasing Xbox Live on Monday. As Joystiq points out, they have no idea what they're in for.
- Sony officially unveiled the third-generation PSP yesterday, with a PS button, a built-in mic, and an improved LCD screen.
- Another lawsuit has been filed against Nintendo for alleged patent infringement in the Wii remote. This time it's Maryland-based Hillcrest Labs, and they're seeking to block imports of the Wii console and remote.
- Daniel Craig and Judi Dench will both be reprising their roles from the film Quantum of Solace in the video game that comes out this fall.
- This week, Flickr finally added embedding code for their slideshows.
- Thrustmaster has unveiled a handful of silly new Wii peripherals, including glowing lightsabers with a spot in the handle to insert your Wii Remote (via). Pointless, of course, but we won't deny we kind of want one. Another pointless new Wii accessory: the force feedback wheel.
- Nicolas Cage, Aaron Johnson and Lyndsy Fonseca are set to star in Kick-Ass, Matthew Vaughn's upcoming film adaptation of the Mark Millar comic book.
- Myst is coming to your iPhone.
- The upcoming Nintendo DS RPG Tales of Hearts will ship in two different versions, one with anime-style cinematics, and the other with cinematics featuring realistic CG models.
- Apparently there's a bug in EA's Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 that sometimes allows Tiger to walk out onto a pond and make a shot from there. EA has responded to video of the glitch with their own video, which reveals that it isn't a glitch after all; they were just being realistic. Funny! But seriously, maybe a patch is in order, guys?
- Restored versions of The Godfather and The Godfather 2 will be re-released in theaters later this year.
- According to Jon Favreau, work has already begun on Iron Man 2.
- The title of Terminator Salvation contains a hint about the plot, according to McG. Also, although Arnold Schwarzenegger will not appear in the film, his voice might.
- The Underwire took a look through a coffee table book coming out this summer, Strange and Stranger: The World of Steve Ditko, and put together a wonderful collection of pieces by Ditko. Check it out.
- It sounds like Guitar Hero World Tour may feature yet another new peripheral, somehow connected to the game's Studio mode.
