- Another unique and fascinating website, London Bananas features pictures of discarded banana skins found throughout the city of London. (Via Sarah)
- PC Magazine lists the top 100 undiscovered websites of 2008. (Via Scott)
- Dude was fishing with his granddaughter recently in a private pond in North Carolina when she gave him her Barbie-branded rod and reel to hold while she went to the bathroom. He then proceeded to catch a record channel catfish with it. We're not sure what a record channel catfish is, but the point is, he caught it with a Barbie fishing pole! (Via Sarah)

- Does a new enemy added to the online RPG Final Fantasy XI really take over 18 hours to defeat, or were these players just n00bs? (Via Ross)
- Could we get a Veronica Mars movie? Here's hoping!
- Ron Howard has made a film called Frost/Nixon, based on the acclaimed play about journalist David Frost's televised interviews with a post-resignation Richard Nixon. Watch the rather impressive trailer here. (Via)
- Death Race is scheduled for release this Friday, but writer Adam Stone is determined to stop it. He's filed a copyright infringement lawsuit claiming that the film is based on a script called Joust that he pitched to director Paul W. S. Anderson and producer Jeremy Bolt.
- We don't have high hopes for Transformers 2, but when Cinematical posts a photo from the set of Megan Fox grabbing her breasts, we have no choice but to pass the link onto you.
- There's a rumor going around that there's trouble on the set of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Specifically, director Gavin Hood and Fox co-chairman and CEO Tom Rothman are getting into it over the look and feel of the film.
- The opening cinematic for Wrath of the Lich King. Pretty impressive!
- The big geek event going on at the moment is the Leipzig Games Convention 2008. Joystiq has screenshots from the Sega games on display, a video guided tour of the first area from the new Prince of Persia, and some gameplay trailers for Dead Rising: Chop 'Til You Drop for Wii. Meanwhile, Wii Fanbody has some new screenshots from Castlevania Judgment that include a mysterious new character.
- Kratos of God of War will be available tomorrow as a downloadable character for PS3's Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds.
- Apparently the McCain campaign is taking shots at Dungeons & Dragons fans now. They don't know who they just pissed off! Roll for initiative, bitches! (Via)
- A survey by Devil Mountain Software reveals that nearly 35% of new Vista machines are being downgraded to XP. Heh heh heh.
- Noted on Sarcasmo's Corner and Shiny Shiny is the exciting news that Slouching Towards Bedlam, a text game co-created by Phillyist's own Star Foster, is now available on your iPhone. We'd like to think she's delighted, wherever she is.
- Vin Diesel told reporters that it's still his ultimate goal to produce and star in a live-action film based on the life of Hannibal, but that in the meantime he's producing and directing Hannibal the Conqueror, a children's animated series that will serve as a prequel to the film.
- David Hasselhoff is making final arrangements for an appearance on the new Knight Rider TV show, possibly with a surprising car. Sadly, we're not sure even the Hoff can make that dud watchable.
- Stars of Heroes, Lost, and Desperate Housewives joining together as an ad hoc band?! That's just crazy.
- The first downloadable content for Grand Theft Auto IV should hit the Xbox Live Marketplace this fall.
- Venture Brothers clips! 'Nuff said.
- According to a blogger, the famous theater silhouettes from MST3K were superimposed over NBC's Olympics broadcast on August 17 between about 2:00 and 3:13 p.m.—but sadly only in a small area of Montana.
- Nintendo Wii Fanboy gets the dirt on how Miis will be integrated into the Wii version of Guitar Hero World Tour.
