Nutter? I Don't Even Know 'er!

- Another week, another deal between Michael and a union. The last union left without a deal now is the firefighters. Based on what happened out in Conshy the other night, Michael might want to get crackin' on that right away.
- The Inquirer took a look at Michael's watershed moments and took the position that maybe our mayor isn't as calm, cool, and collected as he's often portrayed.
- Michael had his own stern words directed at DHS used against the city by the lawyer representing the estate of Danieal Kelly in a lawsuit against the city—a lawsuit in which, for a couple of days, Danieal's parents were actually the named plaintiffs, until public criticism compelled them to withdraw from the case.
- How about some culture? Michael announced that the Philadelphia Orchestra will be playing a free concert at Dilworth Plaza, adjacent to City Hall, on September 23.
- Surprise, surprise. PennPraxis, the organization that Michael retained to
continue fueling the casino debate hornets' nestevaluate how the casinos "fit" into the city's "waterfront vision," determined that the current casino locations aren't compatible with the city's "vision." Ummm, did the city even have a vision before people started getting all pissy about the casinos?
