If we're a white belt, we're not even pretending to attack a black belt. Here's why.

in most forms of aikido, you are a white belt until you are a black belt--there's nothing in between. In fact, black belts usually wear their white belt underneath the hakama, that trouser-skirt thing the instructor is wearing.
