The Gay Agenda: Mr. Gay Philadelphia

Mr. Gay PhiladelphiaHey girl, hey! Make way for Mr. Gay.

This Friday marks the second annual Mr. Gay Philadelphia contest, brought to you by the illustrious Bruce Yelk of Nightlifegay.com. This year's contest (don't call it a pageant) is hosted in conjunction with Buckmonkey.net and promises to be a spectacular evening of entertainment and heated competition as Philly's hottest men strut their stuff and show some brotherly love for appreciative audience members.

Hosts for this year's event are Frank DeCaro (of Sirius Radio's The Frank DeCaro Show and the Game Show Network's I've Got a Secret) and Brittany Lynn, Shampoo's Drag Mafia host extraordinaire and drag diva about town. Judges include Michael Musto of The Village Voice, Jack Mackenroth from Project Runway, Philadelphia Gay News publisher Mark Segal and actor David Moretti of The Lair.

To give back to the community that put Philadelphia Mr. Gay on the map a year ago, a portion of the proceeds from the contest and silent auction will benefit one of the city’s most outstanding charitable organizations, ActionAIDS. The winner will receive free airfare for two to Los Angeles for the 2008 North American Mr. Gay contest, and two free tickets for some R&R in Fort Lauderdale.
