Rumor has it that a certain Philadelphia personality accused of sticking his nose where it didn't belong was doing it not out of professional jealousy, but romantic jealousy. If this is true, and Phillyist is not saying that it is, the scandal makes a lot more sense.

Vewy vewy eeeeeenteresting...
...and well-placed, right above that well-crafted related post
Who said that they were related? Not us. Because if we do, then we can get sued. If you want to infer their relationship, though, we can't stop you.
I only meant that they both seemed to refer to a nosy local personality. I did not intend in any way to imply that they were about the same nosy person.
@J.A.B.I.: Captain Noah just couldn't keep it together over Mrs. Noah's torrid affair with Larry Ferrari, huh?
@SuperBien: Outstanding reference. Just made my afternoon.
Though I always heard it was Sally Starr, not Mrs. Noah.
Wow... That took some serious Googling, but I get it now.
@J.A.B.I: A Phillyist thrown by a Captain Noah reference?? Auugh, I'm mortified . . . and fucking old, but still think you rock! ;-P
@Pat Holston: Nah, Sally Starr was diddling Chief Halftown. Her spangly cowgirl outfits and his Native American garb made for role playing of such orgasmic intensity that neither was strong enough to resist.
Don't feel old, SB! I just didn't grow up here, is all, so it wasn't part of my cultural frame of reference.
Actually it was Chief Halftown and Jerry Blavat.
