PAWS Cat of the Week

LilyThe PAWS shelter is still completely full, and healthy, adoptable animals are being put down for no reason other than that there isn't enough space for them in the shelter. PAWS is in desperate need of volunteers who can foster kittens and mom-cats during this kitten season, as well as adopters!

Lily (ID# A04602832)

Lily is a 1- to 2-year-old tortoiseshell who came to the shelter as a stray. She is sweet and loving, but doesn't require your constant attention, and she's perfectly content with some alone time. If you're looking for a fairly low-maintenance feline friend, Lily may be a good fit for you. She's at the PAWS Adoption Center in Old City, so it's easy to meet her for yourself and find out if she's the right kitty for your home.

If you'd like to save Lily, e-mail alamond@phillypaws.org. The adoption fee for a PAWS cat is $40. The fee includes spaying/neutering, which will be performed before your new companion comes home with you, and microchipping. Also, make note of Lily's ID number above, and bring it with you when you go to the PAWS adoption center, which is located at 100 N. 2nd Street (the corner of 2nd and Arch).
